Medina girls swim past Albion in N-O opener, the boys teams tie; Roy-Hart sweeps Barker

Taking first place in nine of 11 events, Medina downed visiting Albion 121-43 this afternoon in a season opening Niagara-Orleans League girls swim meet. The boys meet finished in an 85-85 tie.

Margaret Klotzbach was a double winner in the 200 Freestyle and 500 Free and Hannah Heil captured both the 50 Free and 100 Free for Medina as Hannah Kenward took the 200 Individual Medley and Amanda Woodruff the 100 Butterfly.

Klotzbach and Heil also teamed up with Brooklynn Brown and Woodruff to win both the 200 Free Relay and the 400 Free Relay.

Devynn Pearles won the 100 Backstroke and Rylee Pearles the 100 Breaststroke for Albion.

In the boys meet, Ryan Krenning doubled in the 50 Free and 100 Free and Chase Froman in the 200 Free and 500 Free for Albion.

Medina also had a pair of double winners as Isaac Pace won both the Individual Medley and Breaststroke and Hunter Heil the Butterfly and Backstroke.

Roy-Hart sweeps Barker
Roy-Hart swept to a doubleheader win over Barker wining the boys’ meet 102-47 and the girls’ competition 111-26.

Roy-Hart had a total of five individual event double winners including Kayla Hagen in the 200 Free and 500 Free, Mandy Hill in the Individual Medley and Butterfly, Jordyn Bobzien in the 50 Free and Breaststroke, Carter Green in the 200 and 500 Free and Matt Scott in the 100 Free and Individual Medley.
