Medina girls romp past CSAT; R-H rolls
Medina rolled to a 21-9 victory over host CSAT this afternoon to improve to 3-7 in Niagara-Orleans League softball competition.
Alisha Scroger had 4 hits, including 2 doubles and 4 RBIs, Destiny Satkowski 3 hits, including 2 triples, a home run and 5 RBIs and Emma Ambrose a triple and 4 RBIs to lead the attack for Medina.
Medina also defeated CSAT 29-2 in the JV game.
Roy-Hart 22, Wilson 0
Pounding out 22 hits, Roy-Hart blanked Wilson 22-0 to stay unbeaten at 10-0 in N-O action.
Ashley Bower and Kayla Brown both had 3 hits for Roy-Hart as Maddy Glena, Hannah Rausch, Maddie Fry and Lindsay Yates each chipped in with 2.
Bower’s hits included a two-run home run in the first inning and RBI singles in both the second and third frames. Brown also had a double and 3 RBIs and Yates a two-run homer in the second inning.
Taylor Fry, Bower and Lexie Lovewell combined to hurl a 4 hitter with 8 strikeouts.
Anna Bryer had 2 hits for Wilson.
Newfane 24, Albion 9
Alexa Littman had a three-run homer, Gabby Sinnott 3 hits and Katie Kneeland a double for Newfane which improves to 6-3.
Andrea Aman and Oliva Prest both hit home runs for Albion.
Akron 7, Barker 0
Megan Kidder had 3 hits for Akron with improves to 9-1.
Brooke Peters allowed only 1 hit with 9 strikeouts in five innings oof work in the circle for Akron.
