Medina girls roll to win over Holley

Building up a commanding 23 point half-time advantage, Medina went on to defeat visiting Holley 50-14 this evening in a non league girls basketball game.

Je’ne Brown scored a game high 18 points and Maddie Williams tallied 15 on five threes to lead the Medina attack.

Emily Kams addded 7, Molley Gross 3, Kayla Cuadra, Katie Bielieki and Hannah Sones 2 and Maddie Winters 1.

Brown also grabbed off 13 rebounds, Williams 7, Winters 6 and Gross 6.

Madison Marsh scored 6 for Holley as Delilah Grathouse, Claudia Drechsel, Diana Castillo and Angela Weaver 2 each.

Junping out to an 8-0 lead at the outset, Medina held a 16-3 advantage at the end of the first period as Brown tallied 7 on a rebound bucket, a layup and a three-point play and Winters 6 on a pair of threes.

Two more threes by Winters and a pair of layups by Brown then highlighted a 15-5 second period scoring edge which boosted the Mustangs advantage to 31-8 at the half.
The Mustangs led 41-12 at the thee-quarter mark as Kams and Williams both hit threes and Brown added a pair of buckets.

Medina is now 3-0.
