Medina girls roll past Global

Racing out to a 20-5 lead at the outset, Medina rolled to a 68-40 victory over visiting Global Concepts this evening in a non league girls basketball game.

Je’ne Brown scored 14 and Kayla Cuadra 11 to lead the balanced attack for Medina as Emily Kams, Holly Heil and Maddie Williams 9 each, Maddy Winters 6, Molley Gross 5, Davina Birch 3 and Allison Bensley 2.

TeaLaya Huff took game high scoring honors for Global with 21.

Kams scored 7 on a three, a layup off a turnover and a rebound bucket, Brown 6 on two layups ad a rebound basket, Winters 4 on a rebound and a jumper and Williams a 3 to spark Medina out to a 20-7 first quarter lead.

The Mustangs maintained comfortable leads of 36-19 at the half and 51-24 at the three-quarter mark to improve to 9-7 on the season.
