Medina girls rally late to trim LeRoy
Putting together a late rally, Medina nipped LeRoy 11-10 in a non league softball game at Vets Park Friday night.
Trailing 10-7 Medina closed the gap by scoring twice in the sixth inning as Baileigh McAdoo and Ki’Mani Poole had hits.
The Mustangs then capped off the comeback by scoring twice in the bottom of the seventh to claim the win as McAdoo and Miriam Fike had hits.
McAdoo and Poole both finished with 3 hits as Fike and Faith Oberther both had 2.
Medina next visits rival Albion at 7:15 Monday evening for the Purple Eagles Strike Out Cancer game. Donations will be accepted for the Knights-Kaderli Fund which benefits those fighting cancer.
