Medina girls post win over CSAT

Wilson rallies for key win over Roy-Hart; Newfane downs Albion

Jumping out to a 2-0 half-time advantage, Medina went on to defeat CSAT 5-0 this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League girls soccer game at Vets Park.

Madeline Winters and Destiny Satkowski netted the first half goals for Medina. Martha Gardner earned the assist on Winters’ goal.

Satkowski completed her hat-trick by scoring a pair of second half goals as Emma Gardner netted the final Mustangs goal.

Medina is now 3-6-2 and CSAT 0-11 in N-O action.

Wilson 4, Roy-Hart 2

Breaking away from a 2-2 half-time deadlock, undefeated league leading Wilson (11-0) scored a pair of unanswered second half goals to edge visiting Roy-Hart (5-5-1) 4-2.

Kayla Neumann scored what proved to be the game winner for Wilson seven minutes into the second half and Rachel Senek later added an insurance tally. Emily Patterson earned the assist on both goals.

Roy-Hart grabbed a 2-1 lead in the first half on goals by Ava Bligh and Emma Lindke, both off assists from Amber Villella.

Patterson and Leah Herman each scored a goal in the first half to pull Wilson even at 2-2.

Newfane 4, Albion 1

Newfane stayed within a game of the league lead by downing visiting Albion 4-1 to improve to 10-1.

Kaylee Heschke scored the three goal hat-trick for Newfane which led by a narrow 1-0 margin at the half on a tally by Kayleigh Daniels.

Emily Blanchard scored Albion’s goal off an assist from Mariah Elsenheimer.

The loss drops Albion to 5-6.

Akron 7, Barker 0

Leah Czechowski and Kara Seguin each scored 3 goals to spark Akron past Barker 7-0.

Akron is now 7-3-1 and Barker 1-10.
