Medina girls post win over Barker

Avenging an earlier season 36-33 home court loss, Medina defeated host Barker 54-33 this evening in a Niagara-Orleans League girls basketball game.

Camri King scored 18 and Je’ne Brown 13 to lead the way for Medina as Kharise Johnson added 8 and Maddie Williams 7.

Medina opened up a 31-14 half-time advantage after a big 17-7 second period scoring burst which included 5 by Williams and 4 by King.

Gabby Barker scored 11 and Sydnie Luckman 6 for Barker.

Medina is now 3-8 and Barker 2-9 in N-O action.

Wilson 42, Albion 39
Rebounding from a 25-15 half-time deficit, Wilson rallied to nip visiting Albion 42-39.

Emily Kelly scored 12 for Wilson which took a 33-30 lead at the three-quarter mark.

Janae Doty scored 13, Natalie DiCureia and Lexi Wolck 7, Sierra Newton 6 and Brylie Hapeman 5 for Albion which played without their season long scoring leader Caitlynn Snook who missed the contest due to illness.

Albion and Wilson both finish the N-O season at 8-4.

Newfane 68, Akron 45
A big second quarter scoring surge keyed Newfane to a 68-45 victory over Akron as the Lady Panthers complete a perfect 12-0 N-O championship season.

Paige Emborsky scored 10 of her game high 27 points and Emily Foltz 4 of her 15 to spark a big 21-5 second period uprising for the Lady Panthers.
