Medina girls post shutout win; Lyndonville ties

Medina shutout host Barker 6-0 this morning in Niagara-Orleans League girls soccer action.

Destiny Satkowski scored three goals, Kyla Leno two and Martha Gardner one to lead the way for Medina which improves to 4-7-2 in N-O action.

“We played pretty well,” said Medina Coach Mike Lepkyj. “It’s nice to see that what we’ve been working on in practice is paying off.”

The loss drops Barker to 1-11-1.

In other N-O action, undefeated (13-0) Wilson, which has already locked up a third straight title, blanked Newfane (9-4) 3-0 on first half goals by Leah Herman, Lauren Austin and Emily Patterson. Katlynne Tubo made five saves in goal and Bekah Blasius anchored the defense.

In Genesee Region League action Lyndonville battled to a double overtime 0-0 tie with visiting Notre Dame.
