Snapping a season opening three game losing streak, Medina nipped visiting CSAT 6-5 this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League softball game at Vets Park.

A single by Nicole Blount and three straight walks keyed a three-run fourth inning for Medina.

The Mustangs later scored what proved to be the deciding two runs in the bottom of the sixth on an RBI double by Emma Ambrose and a double steal.

Winning pitcher Ally Bensley, who also had two hits on the day, got the final out with a strikeout as CSAT left the potential tying run stranded on base.

In the JV game Medina defeated CSAT 26-3 as Cora Payne had 2 hits including a home run and Grace Masse and Brandi Guild each had 3 hits including a double.

Leading by a narrow 6-4 margin, Wilson scored four time in the sixth inning on a string of bunts, to key an 11-4 victory over host Albion.

Anna Bryer and Jenn Darlak both had two hits for Wilson as did Olivia Prest, Natalie DiCureia and Isabella Prest for Albion.

Wilson is now 2-1 and Albion 1-2 in N-O action.
