Medina girls down Global Concepts

A big second quarter keyed Medina to a 39-31 victory over visiting Global Concepts this evening in a non league game.

Leading by a narrow 8-4 margin after one period, Medina outscored Global 13-0 in the second quarter to take charge.

Rowan Hamner, Nicole Blount and Holly Heil each scored four points during that stretch as the Mustangs moved out to a 21-4 half-time advantage.

Molley Gross led Medina with 14 points on the night as Hamner netted 7, Blount, Heil, Maddy Winters and Emily Kams 4 each and Emma Ambrose and Davina Birch 1 each.

Now at 1-2, Medina net hosts Newfnae at 6:30 p.m. Friday in the Niagara-Orleans League opener.
