Medina girls down Barker; R-H trims Albion

Pulling away in the second half, Medina downed visiting Barker 48-33 in a Niagara-Orleans League girls basketball game this evening.

Leading by a narrow 25-21 margin at the half, Medina outscored Barker 23-12 in the second half to lock up the win.

Alexa Demmer and Iyla Lilleby both scored 12 and Honesty Hill 10 to lead Medina as Ariel Smith added 7, Angel Mulcahy 4 and Nevaeh Moss 3.

Lillia Peace scored 7, Addison Szafranski and Rachel Sutter 6 and Makayla Greene and Kiera Dalton 5 to lead Barker.

Medina is now 1-2 and Barker 0-5 in N-O action.

Roy-Hart 36, Albion 33
Trailing 24-23, Roy-Hart rallied to outscore Albion 13-9 in the final period and claim a narrow 36-33 N-O win.

Adella Dukes scored 8 and Madison DiNieri 7 to lead Roy-Hart’s balanced attack as Madison Hughson took game high honors for Albion with 13.

Roy-Hart is now 1-3 and Albion 2-4 in N-O competition.

Akron 52, Newfane 40
Sloan Jonathan scored 25 to lead Akron to a 52-40 N-O win over Newfane.

Akron is now 5-1 and Newfane 3-2 in N-O action.

Pembroke downed Lyndonville 55-46, Elba bested Holley 58-31 and Wheatland-Chili trimmed Kendall 38-32 in Genesee Region League games this evening.

Reagan Schneider scored 18, Peyton Liss 13, Jayden Hootman 11 and Morgan Coniber 10 to lead Pembroke.

Addison Dillenbeck scored a game high 28 and Ashlee Stephens had 13 for Lyndonville.

Sydney Riley scored 29 and Lydia Ross 14 to spark Elba.

Alivia Wolf and Samantha Bates each scored 9 and Zoey Wolf 8 for Holley.

Danielle Offhaus, Brooke Rodas and Stella Kwiatek each scored 6 for Kendall.
