Medina FC nipped in Div. 3 soccer contest
The Medina Mustangs FC dropped a narrow 3-2 decision to the JL Dutch FC in a Buffalo District Soccer League Division 3 game on Sunday.
JL Dutch scored early off a Medina missed defensive clear but the Mustangs answered with a goal Steven Anderson on a free kick.
Medina them took a 2-1 lead as Greg Husung scored on a breakaway off an assist from Casey Winiecki.
However, JL Dutch retied the game after the half with a goal off a free kick and later scored the game winner with 10 minutes remaining.
Medina is now 1-1-1 and JL Dutch 2-2 in Division 3 competition.
The Mustangs next host the Meerkits FC on June 4 at 6 p.m. at Vets Park.
