Medina FC in playoff semifinals on Sunday
Contributed Photo – Next up for the Medina Mustangs FC will be a playoff semifinal round game against top seeded Buffalo Italia FC on Sunday at Sahlens Sports Park. No. 6 seed Medina Mustangs FC will take on top seeded Buffalo Italia FC in the semifinals of the Buffalo District Soccer League Championship Division playoffs at 8 p.m. Sunday at Sahlen’s Sports Park.
Medina brings a 5-4-2 record into the semis while Buffalo Italia is 9-0-1.
The Mustangs tied 2-2 with Buffalo Italia in the regular season finale.
Medina advanced to the semis by downing the No. 3 seed Revolution FC 2-0 in the quarterfinals on a pair of second half goals by Peter Martillotta.
Sunday’s other semifinal will have No. 5 Sporting Cavs vs. No. 2 Ukraine.
