Medina FC hosts playoff opener Sunday
Seeded No. 3 the Medina Mustangs FC will host No. 6 Buffalo Night in the quarterfinals of the Buffalo and District Soccer League Division 3 playoffs at 6 p.m. Sunday at Vets Park.
Medina brings a 7-2-1 record into the playoffs while Buffalo Night is 5-5.
During the regular season Medina downed Buffalo Night 4-1 in the season opener.
Nate Dillenbeck has scored 7 goals, Peter Martillotta 6, Greg Husung 4 and Steven Anderson 3 to lead the Mustangs offense. Husung also has a team high 7 assists.
The other quarterfinal will have No. 5 JL Dutch (5-3-2) vs. No. 4 Buffalo Brighten Stars (6-4).
Ukraine (8-1-1) is the No. 1 seed and LA United (7-1-2) the No. 2 seed.
