Medina extends field hockey win streak

Making it four wins in a row, Medina blanked Wilson 7-0 in a Niagara-Orleans League field hockey game this evening at Vets Park.

Lydia Fox scored three goals, Penelope Schalck two and Baileigh McAdoo and Addison Taylor one each for Medina which improves to 3-2 in N-O acton (4-2 overall).

Alex Strong added two assists for the Mustangs as Iyla Lilleby, Fox  and Schalck each had one.

N-O Golf

Front-running Akron downed Medina and runner-up Barker (7-1) downed Wilson in Niagara-Orleans League golf matches today which were both forfeit wins.

Trace Hill took medalist honors for Akron with a 38.

Aidan Paul shot 39 and Dylan Lonnen 41 for Medina. Paul also shot a 34 this past Friday in a loss to Barker.

Joel Harris led Barker today with a 45 while Wilson’s Nathan Meyers took medalist honors with a 43.
