The Medina High duo of Mason Lewis and Brendan Luthart helped spark the North squad to a 13-12 victory over the South in the annual sectional senior lacrosse game Wednesday evening at Orchard Park.

Lewis, who was voted the North MVP, and Luthart each had a goal and an assist.

Lewis, who won several key face-offs down the stretch, scored his goal late in the fourth quarter to rally the North to within one.

“I am extremely proud of these two young men and their accomplishments throughout their careers,” said Medina Coach Gordy Luthart who helped coach the North team. “I’m looking forward to watching them both play next year in college.”

Lewis will be playing for Genesee Community College and Luthart for St. Bonaventure.
