Medina downs rival Albion in N-O softball

Medina opened Niagara-Orleans League softball competition with a 14-10 win over host rival Albion this evening.
Faith Oberther had a single, double and triple, Brooklyn Brown a single and a home run and Tessa Boyce a single and double to lead the offense for Medina which scored 8 runs in the fourth inning.
Kenzi Hapeman had three hits, including a triple, Faith Woody two, including a double, and Bryne Dysard two for Albion which scored six runs in the bottom of the seventh.
In the other N-O contests, Akron (2-0) defeated Barker (0-2) 19-2 and Roy-Hart (1-1) downed Newfane (0-2) 14-2.
Reanna Perkins hurled a three hitter with 18 strikeouts for Roy-Hart. She also had a double and a home run at the plate.
Juliana Buscarino and Ellie James also both had two hits for the Lady Rams.
