Medina Cubs roll to Major Division victory
The Medina Cubs downed the Lyndonville Orioles 18-3 on Saturday in a local youth baseball Major Division game.
Great pitching was turned in by Vinny Gray and Luke Grimes each with 9 strikeouts. Catching was handled by River Jones,Ethan Page, Frankie Stevens.
Offensively, Ryan Pegelow had a home run and a triple and Conor Crandall a double. Other hits were banged out by hits by Ryder Jones, Camden Fike and Brayden Lewis.
Great fielding plays were turned in by Henry Winters and Briley Allen.
The other Major Divisin games were postponed including the Medina Yankees vs. Somerset Reds, Somerset Braves vs. Roy-Hart Red Sox, Newfane Jr. Panthers vs. Somerset Dodgers and Medina Blue Jays vs. Roy-Hart Yankees.
In the Minor Division, the Medina Pirates edged the Lyndonville Giants 2-1, the Lyndonville Twins downed the Somerset Yankees 12-4 and the Medina Athletics blanked the Lyndonville Tigers 6-0.
