Medina cagers down CCA to halt skid
Snapping a six game losing streak, Medina defeated host Central Christian Academy 67-53 this evening in a non league game.
Brian Fry scored 24, including six threes, to lead the way for Medina as Nate Sherman added 15, Tyler Chinn 10, Jarin Rhim 6 and Ricky Wood, Joe Cecchini, Dontae Rhim and Matt Henning 3 each.
Medina jumped out to a 21-8 first quarter lead as Sherman had four field goals, Chinn three and Fry a pair of threes.
The Mustangs maintained leads of 40-26 at the half and 60-38 at the three-quarter mark.
Fry hit two more threes in the second period which also included 4 points by Jarin Rhim and Sherman had 4 points in the third.
Now at 3-8 overall, Medina next hosts Akron at 6:30 p.m. Friday in a Niagara-Orleans League game.

North Tonawanda 61, Medina 22
North Tonawanda built up a 40-13 half-time advantage and went on to down host Medina 61-22 in a non league contest.
Janiyah Holloway scored 8 for Medina as Julie Porter and Anya Bloom each added 5.
