Medina Broncos, Stallions score wins

Improving to 3-1, the Medina Broncos shutout Pembroke 34-0 at Vets Park Saturday in a Niagara Orleans Football Association Junior Division game.

The Medina Stallions likewise downed Pembroke 35-14 to regain the .500 mark at 2-2 in Varsity Division action.

The Medina Colts dropped a narrow 27-20 decision to Pembroke in the Mini Division.


Broncos 34, Pembroke 0
Iverson Poole ran for two touchdowns on carries of 50 and 40 yards for the Broncos which also got rushing touchdowns by Hayden Woodroe of 18 yards, Zack Oliver 34 yards and Aiden Pitts 19 yards. Pitts also had 3 extra points and Poole 1.

On defense, Poole had 11 tackles, Josh Wilson 8, Lavonn Gray 7 and Woodroe, Oliver Wilson and Brandon Collins 6 each. Poole and Collins both had sacks and Woodroe a fumble recovery.


Stallions 35, Pembroke 14
Brian Fry threw touchdown passes of 40 yards to Brayden Velia and 4 yards to Tyler Chinn for the Stallions as Sydney Brown rushed for two touchdowns on carries of 22 and 2 yards and Colby Petry 1 on a 41 yard carry.

Defensively, Fry had 2 interceptions, Petrie 10 tackles and Mario Fidanza 9.


Pembroke 27, Colts 20
Logan Gray scored 3 touchdowns on carries of 50, 48 and 2 yards for the Colts.

Kaiden Hangartner and Brody Fry added extra points.

On defense, Ayden Johnson had a fumble recovery, Maverick Hall a sack and Gray 4 tackles.
