Medina booters top Barker

A pair of first half goals earned Medina a 2-0 victory over Barker at Vets Park this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League girls soccer game.

Taylor Miller scored both goals, one coming on a penalty kick, as Medina evens its N-O record at 1-1.

Liz Meyer earned the shutout in goal for the Mustangs.

Wilson 1, Albion 0
WILSON – A goal by Holly Rudolph provided the margin of victory for defending N-O champion Wilson in the key early season 1-0 win over Albion.

Newfane 3, Roy-Hart 1
Two goals by Savannah Jonathan and one by Allison Duhow powered Newfane to a 3-1 victory over Roy-Hart as the Lady Panthers go to 2-0.

Emma Lindke scored Roy-Hart’s lone goal off an assist from Ashley Bower.

Kendall 0, Byron-Bergen 0
BERGEN – Jordan Ammerman earned the shut-out in goal for Kendall during the 0-0 double overtime tie with Byron-Bergen in a Genesee Region League marathon.

Golf

Barker 234, Medina 259
Mitch Luckman earned medalist honors with a 41 and Brad Wilson shot 45 to lead Barker past Medina 234-259.

Gage Masters led the Mustangs with a 47.

Albion 247, CSAT 286
John Krieger took medalist honors with a 39 to lead Albion past CSAT.
