Medina booters bow in U17, win in U19

In a key early season battle of the unbeatens, the Northtowns Thunder blanked Medina 3-0 this evening at Vets Park in a Buffalo and Western New York Soccer League boys U17 B North Division game.
Staying perfect at 4-0, Northtowns scored once in the first half and then put a lock on the victory with two goals in the second half.
Medina, which slips to 2-1, was unable to capitalize on corner kick opportunities.
U19
Medina 3, Amherst 2
Thomas Goetze scored two goals and Anthony Pane one to lead Medina to a 3-2 victory at Amherst in a U19 contest.
The victory evens Medina’s record at 2-2.
Roy-Hart 1, Akron 1
Roy-Hart battled to a 1-1 tie with Akron on a goal by Josh Baptiste assisted by Kevin Bligh.

Holley 4, Medina 1
Bobby Geiger scored the lone goal for Medina in a 4-1 loss to Holley.
