Medina bests Roy-Hart in youth football
Medina defeated Roy-Hart 27-0 in the JV Division and 46-13 in the Varsity Division Saturday in Niagara Orleans Football Association (NOFA) competition. Medina also won the Mini Division contest by forfeit.
In the JV Division contest, Trevon Shine had 3 catches for 100 yards from quarterback Cole Callard, including touchdown receptions of 20 and 48 yards, and 90 yards rushing, including a 45 yard TD carry, for the Broncos. Christian Moss added 75 yards rushing, including a touchdown, as Brody Fry and Avion Johnson both had 50 yards rushing.
The Broncos defensive effort was led by Moss, Nathan Woodworth, Trenton Morley, Connor Crandall, Ben Doolan and Shine who all had tackles for losses.
In the Varsity Division game, Amari Soule led the Stallions with three touchdowns, one on the opening kickoff, one on a punt return and another on a long rushing TD.
