Medina and Lyndonville girls bow

Akron improved to 4-0 by downing host Medina 60-50 in a Niagara-Orleans League girls basketball game this evening.

Lexie Ground scored 17 to lead Akron as Abby Gerstung added 9, Gracie Leiker 8, Olivia Novak and Marissa Brege 6 each and Kia LaFromboise 3.

Alexa Demmer took game high honors with 26 for Medina as Honesty Hill had 12, Tatianna Maxon 6, Ariel Smith 4 and Roswyn Oakes 2.

Medina is now 0-2 in N-O action.

Elba 57, Lyndonville 37
Building up a 28-13 half-time advantage, Elba went on to down Lyndonville 57-37 in a Genesee Region League game.

Sydney Reilly scored 19, Lydia Ross 15 and Brea Smith 9 to lead Elba.

Addison Dillenbeck took game high honors with 21 and Isabella Groves added 11 for Lyndonville. Dillenbeck scored 12 in the third period.

Roy-Hart has forfeit win.

Trailing 25-23 late in the third quarter, Roy-Hart picked up a forfeit win when the Park coach picked up her second technical foul and Park forfeited.

The evening was highlighted by the induction of Roy-Hart’s 2004 and 2005 N-O League and Section VI champion girls basketball teams into the Proud to Be A Ram Wall of Fame.
