Medina blanked Newfane 12-0 this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League softball game at Vets Park.
Ashlee Howell went 5 for 5 at the plate to lead the offense for Medina which improves to 5-1 in N-O action.
Cora Payne and Ryenn Oliver combined to hurl a 1 hitter with 7 strikeouts in the circle for Medina.
The loss drops Newfane to 0-5.
Albion 9, Aquinas 8
Albion pushed across a run in the seventh inning on an error, a single by Alexis Bentley and a passed ball to nip visiting Aquinas 9-8 in a non league game.
Albion had tied the game at 8-8 by scoring four times with two out in the sixth inning on an RBI double by Natalie DiCureia, a two-run single by Janae Doty and an RBI single by Brylie Hapeman.
Bentley had a total of 3 hits as DiCureia, Doty, and Sierra Newton each had 2. DiCureia and Paige Derisley both had triples.
Oakfield-Alabama 4, Lyndonville 1
