A pair of first half goals proved to be more than enough as Medina blanked host Newfane 2-0 this afternoon in the Mustangs season opening Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer game.

Brady Christiaansen earned the shutout in goal for the Mustangs whose defense was anchored by Trenton Morley, Cam Kenward, Ryan Pegelow, Luke Duffina and Jason Beyer.
Albion shutout host Akron 4-0 on first half goals by David Rosario Soto, Alonzo Figueroa Fuentes, Finn McCue and Lucas Martin.
In the other N-O opener Wilson downed host Roy-Hart 7-1 as Keegan Hermann had 5 goals and an assist.
Braden Ricker scored Roy-Hart’s goal.

Wilson’s Ben Meyers took medalist honors with a 46. Evan Poeller led Roy-Hart with a 49.

Kendall dropped a 3-1 decision to the host school in the opening round of the Keshequa Tournament this afternoon.
Ava Quintern scored the Kendall goal off an assist from Megan Gates. Brooke Rodas made 13 saves in goal for the Lady Eagles.
