Medina, Albion swimmers swept on the road

Newfane swept visiting Medina in a Niagara-Orleans League swim meet this evening winning the boys’ competition 77-48 and the girls’ 84-73.

Akron likewise swept visiting Albion taking the boy’s meet 102-65 and the girls’ 84-82.

Noah Kneeland was a double winner in the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Breaststroke and Alex Ostrozinski took both the 100 Butterfly and 500 Freestyle for the Newfane boys which also had Elijah Thompson win the 100 Backstroke and Daenon Kopp the 100 Free.

Caiden Class won the 50 Free for Medina.

Newfane is now 4-3 and Medina 0-7.

Avery Stevenson doubled in the 50 Free and Butterfly for the Newfane girls which also had Kimberly Schmitt take the 100 Free, Ella Tower the IM and Emma Niver the 500 Free.

Medina got wins from Maddy Satkowski in the 200 Free, Madelynn Rutledge in the Backstroke and Iyla Lilleby in the Breaststroke.

Newfane is now 2-5 and Medina 1-6.

Aiden Polkowski doubled in the IM and Breaststroke, Colton Cleveland in the 200 Free and 500 Free and James Ground in the 50 Free and 100 Free for the Akron boys which also had Dawson Stone win the Backstroke.

Dallas Ecker won the Butterfly for Albion.

Akron is now 5-1 and Albion 2-4.

The Akron girls likewise had a trio of individual event double winners as Mayah Harris took the Butterfly and Breaststroke, Kaila Szczygielski the 50 Free and 100 Free and Audrey Garverick the IM and Backstroke. Avery Haak also took the 500 Free.

Mia Olles won the 200 Free for Albion.

Akron is now 5-1 and Albion 2-4.
