Medina, Albion swimmers sweep

Medina swept to a doubleheader victory over visiting Pembroke today in a non league swim meet. The Seahorses won the boys meet 108-57 and the girls competition 99-71.

Nick Dieter was a double winner in the 200 and 500 freestyle events for the Medina boys squad which also got wins from Austin Brown (200 individual medley), Derek Donley (50 free) and Damian Norrish (100 free).

Emma Gardner doubled in the 100 butterfly and 200 individual medley for the Medina girls which also had Krista Nellist win th 50 free, Haylee Cogovan the 100 breaststroke and Alyssa Beyer the 200 free.

Albion likewise swept visiting Byron-Bergen taking the boys meet 61-32 and the girls 52-37.

The Albion boys had Bailey Maier win the 100 backstroke, Matt Kovaleski the 100 breaststroke and Morgan Seielstad the 500 free.

Elizabeth Furmanski doubled in the individual medley and 100 free and Ashley Hapeman in the 50 free and 100 breaststroke for the Albion girls. The Purple Eagles also had Allison Grham win the butterfly, Sarah Graham the 500 free and Olivia Neidert the 200 free.

The Roy-Hart boys downed visiting Alexander 93-73 as Tanner Rees doubled in the individual medley and breaststroke and Ray Sack in the 50 free and butterfly.

The Roy-Hart girls completed the sweep by besting Alexander 116-51 as Alex Hill doubled in the individual medley and butterfly, Olivia Nocera the 200 and 500 free and Lindsey Yates in the 50 free and backstroke.

The Barker boys downed visiting Notre Dame 84-52 as Andrew Jenks doubled in the 50 free and butterfly and Casey Webb took both the 100 free and backstroke.

The Barker girls bested Notre Dame 98-37 as Emma Jenks doubled in the 50 and 100 freestyle events.
