Medina, Albion spikers win in 3 sets

Regaining the .500 mark at 2-2, Medina rolled to a 25-12, 25-10, 25-20 victory over visiting CSAT in a Niagara-Orleans League girls volleyball match this evening.

Alyssa Beyer had 4 service aces and 3 spiking kills, Lexi Neuman 4 aces and 3 kills and Grace Masse 12 assist, 6 digs and 4 kills for the Mustangs.

The loss drops CSAT to 0-4.

Defending champion Albion improved to 5-0 by downing host Newfane 25-14, 25-13, 25-17.

Chanyce Powell, who earned All-Tournament honors Saturday at the Starpoint Tournament, had 10 spiking kills, 4 aces and 2 blocks for Albion.

The Purple Eagles also had Kelsee Soule with 5 kills, 8 digs and 1 ace, Meghan Hurley 5 aces, 13 assists and 6 digs, Caitlynn Snook 4 kills and 2 aces and Kassidy Hastings 5 assists and 2 digs.

Taylor McGhee had 4 kills and 6 assists for Newfane which slips to 1-3.

Edison 13-25-15-17

Kendall downed host Edison 25-13, 17-24, 25-15, 25-17 this afternoon in a non league match to improve to 4-3.

Chelsea Wright and Emily Mattle each had 7 service aces and 2 spiking kills for Kendall as Sarah Pearson added 5 aces, 5 kills and 9 assists, Madison Rath 9 aces and 5 kills and Lexi Payton 5 kills and 5 digs.

Holley 8-15-13

Undefeated (4-0, 5-0) Byron-Bergen downed Holley 25-8, 25-15, 25-13 in a Genesee Region League match.

Bryanna D’Agostino had 6 kills and 4 aces, Cora Ivison 4 aces and 4 kills and Leah Catalino 5 aces to lead the way for Byron-Bergen.
