Medina, Albion, R-H score swim sweeps

Medina, Albion and Roy-Hart all scored home pool sweeps this afternoon in non league swim competition.

Medina defeated Notre Dame 95-48 in the boys meet and 93-58 in the girls competition.

Improving to 2-1, the Medina boys squad got individual event wins from Kristian Snyder (200 Individual Medley), Mason Pecoraro (100 Freestyle), Powell Stephens (500 Freestyle), Chase Pecoraro (100 Backstroke) and Daniel Heil (100 Breaststroke).

Individual event double winners Andrea Toussaint (200 Free, 100 Butterfly) and Emma Gardner (200 Individual Medley, 100 Free) led the Medina girls squad which also got wins by Alyssa Beyer (500 Free), Olivia Carter (100 Backstroke) and Haylee Cogovan (100 Breastroke) to improve to 2-1.

Toussaint also doubled in the Fly and IM and Gardner in the 50 and 100 Free on Wednesday as Medina bested host Alexander 55-37.

Chase Pecoraro heads toward a win for the Seahorses in the 100 Backstroke.

Albion swept Wheatland-Chili taking the boys meet 68-25 and the girls competition 58-28.

Harrison Brown won the 200 Free, Matt Kovaleski the IM, Tyler Kast the Fly and Carlitos Sanchez the Backstroke to lead the Albion boys squad which stays unbeaten at 3-0.

The Albion girls squad, which improves to 2-1, was led by a trio of individual event double winners including Michaela Pantano (200 and 500 Free), Elizabeth Furmanski (IM and Fly) and Sarah Graham (50 and 100 Free).

Roy-Hart swept Alexander winning the boys meet 96-64 and the girls 99-63.

Nate Mikoll doubled in the 50 and 100 Free to lead the Roy-Hart boys squad while Alex Hill doubled in the 200 free and Butterfly for the girls team.
