Albion, Medina revel in rivalry

The Albion Purple Eagles run out on the field and through the cheerleader banner at the pre-game team announcement. Albion hosted the game Friday under the lights at Spierdowis Field.

Albion and Medina football teams met for the 116th time on Friday. Each player received a commemorative T-shirt for the game, which was won by Medina, 38-31. Albion holds the edge in the rivalry, 64-47-5. It’s one of the oldest rivalries in the state.

Participants from al five school districts in Orleans County participated in the “Seat Belt Clip Competition” at halftime. The team from Kendall won by buckling up the fastest.
