Medina, Albion post N-O golf victories
Front-running Medina defeated Wilson 220-248 at Shelridge and Albion downed Newfane 229-281 at Oak Run this afternoon in Niagara-Orleans League golf competition.
Ian Wagner earned medalist honors for Medina with a 36.
The Mustangs also had Aidan Paul with a 43 and Trevor Luthart and Jake Bensley both with 45.
Nate Fox led Wilson with a 40.
Medina stays perfect at 9-0 while Wilson slips to 3-2-2.
In the girls competition, Medina’s Melanie Green shot a 36.
Nick Penna earned medalist honors for Albion with a 38 as Patrick Ricker added a 45, Nick Perry 47 and Victor Benjovsky 48.
Tyler Wagner had a 47 for Newfane.
Albion improves to 7-1 while Newfane slips to 1-7-1.
In the day’s other match, Akron downed Roy-Hart 222-256 as Brenan Murty shot 36, Owen Hil 43 and Stephen Wagner 46.
Murphy Lang had a 41 for Roy-Hart.
Akron is now 4-3-1 and Roy-Hart 1-5-1.
