Medina, Albion netters score N-O victories

Defending champion Medina stayed perfect at 11-0 by defeating host Roy-Hart 4 1/2-1 and Albion improved to 7-3 by avenging an early season loss by trimming Wilson 3-2 1/2 this afternoon in Niagara-Orleans League tennis action.

Akron bested Barker 5 1/2-0 in the other arch to improve to 9-2.

Kristian Snyder defeated Patrick Sheelar 6-2, 6-2 at first singles and Nick Bogan downed  Caleb Reith 6-0, 6-0 at second singles to lead the way for Medina.

The Mustangs also swept the three doubles matches as Kyla Leno and Andrew Fuller defeated Cameron VanBuren and Mason Collins 6-2, 6-3; Ray Paull and Toby Kiebala downed Rachel Hutter and Bea Bacon 6-1, 6-1 and Brandon Harris and Josh Armstrong betted Sam Koch and Kayla Hagen 6-1 6-4.

Three set wins at the first two doubles spots by the duos of Owen Foos-Emilie Barleben, 6-3, 1-6, 6-1 over Alex Couturier-Mike Pazik and by Donato Rosaio-Freeman Lattin, 5-7, 6-0, 6-3 over Joey Moote-Mia Olear keyed Albion to the win.

The Purple Eagles also had Victor Benjovsky score a 6-2, 6-3 win over Max Faery at third singles.

Wilson took the first two singles matches as Joey Hecko downed Matt Kovaleski 6-4, 6-4 and Kyle yon topped Connor McQuillan 6-2, 6-4.

Singles wins by the too of Nate Chubb, Jacob Meyer and Cierra Janis led Akron past Barker.

In a Genesee Region League match, Oakfield-Alabama blanked Holley 5-0.
