Medina, Albion and Kendall score wins in boys soccer action

Medina defeated Akron 6-1 and Albion nipped Roy-Hart 1-0 in Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer games today.

Tyler Kroening scored 3 goals, Cole Callard 2 and Luke Duffina 1 for Medina which improves to 6-1 in N-O action (8-1 overall) as Akron slips to 1-5.

Finn McCue scored the lone goal for Albion off an assist from Dominic Mulka.

The Purple Eagles improve to 3-3 in league competition while Roy-Hart slips to 3-4.

In a non league contest, Kendall edged CG Finney 1-0 as Colby Hughes scored the lone goal on a direct kick in the first half.

Jimmie Swift made 5 saves, including one big stop, to earn the shutout in goal.

N-O Girls Soccer

Roy-Hart 3, Albion 0

Ruth Walker, Kaitlin Mettler and Kaylie Churchill each scored a goal for Roy-Hart in the 3-0 N-O win over visiting Albion as Maria Trombley had 2 assists and Ali Trombley 1.

Roy-Hart is now 4-1 and Albion 1-6 in N-O action.

In a Genesee Region League contest Oakfield-Alabama/Elba downed Lyndonville/Barker 3-0.

N-O Field Hockey

Barker 5, Newfane 0

Madelina Pavlock scored 2 goals and Rachel Sutter, Sophia Gerhardt and Elise Monaco 1 each for Barker in the 5-0 N-O win over Newfane.

Barker improves to 6-2 and Newfane slips to 1-5.
