Medina ‘9’ to host CSAT in sectional opener
Seeded No. 3, Niagara-Orleans League champion Medina will host No. 14 CSAT in the opening round of the Section VI Class B1 baseball playoffs at 4 p.m. Thursday at Vets Park.
The victor will face the winner of the No. 11 Newfane vs. No. 6 Tonawanda game in the quarterfinals on Friday.
Also in Class B1, No. 9 Albion will visit No. 8 East Aurora at 4:45 p.m. Thursday. The winner will visit top seeded Springville on Friday.
Roy-Hart is the top seed in Class B2. The Rams will begin sectional play on Friday hosting the winner of Thursday’s No. 9 JFK vs. No. 8 Wilson contest.
In Section VI Class B1 softball quarterfinal action on Thursday No. 5 Medina visits No. 4 City Honors.
Class B2 softball Thursday will have No. 10 Southwestern at No. 2 Roy-Hart, No. 6 Wilson at No. 3 Fredonia and No. 5 Cleve Hill at No. 4 Akron.
In Class C2, No. 7 Barker will visit No. 2 Maple Grove Thursday.
