Medina ‘9’ is No. 1 seed for Class B sectionals
Defending champion Medina is the No. 1 seed for the upcoming Section VI Class B baseball playoffs.
Medina will open defense of its Section VI Class B title on Tuesday (May 27) at 5 p.m. at Vets Park when the Mustangs host the winner of Saturday’s 5 p.m. opening round No. 9 Roy-Hart at No. 8 East Aurora game.
Medina, which captured the Niagara-Orleans League title with a 12-0 record, brings and 18-1 overall record into the sectionals.
Saturday’s other Class B openers involving N-O teams will have No. 14 Wilson at No. 3 Akron and No. 13 Newfane at No. 4 Fredonia both at 5 p.m.
In a Class A2 quarterfinal, No. 6 Albion will visit No. 3 Dunkirk at 5 p.m. Saturday.
In Class C, No. 10 Barker will visit No. 7 Chautauqua Lake at 5 p.m. Saturday.
