Medina 2 booters cap regular season title campaign
Capping off a near perfect 9-1 title campaign, Medina 2 defeated Zimmi’s Auto Service 5-3 over the weekend to close out the regular season Kenan Indoor Soccer League Senior Division.
Alyssa Mahnke and Max Owens both scored two goals and Brian Anderson one for Medina 2 which will be the top seed in the playoffs on May 9 and 10.
Also in the Senior Division, Medina 1 finished in second place at 7-2 -1 after defeating Citizens Bank 5-2 and Reid’s Drive-In 8-2.
Barry Rogenmoser scored two goals in the win over Citizens Banks as Scott Barber, Matt Doherty and Zach Blugosz each netted one.
Brennen O’Connor, Josh White and Ian Smith then each scored two goals in the victory over Reid’s as Doherty and Katie O’Connor both had one.
In the Junior Division, Medina finished in third place at 4-6 after bowing 6-1 to front running MP Construction and 6-5 to runner-up Zimmi’s Auto Service.
Matt Hess scored the lone Medina goal against MP Construction.
Elian Gonzalez then scored twice against Zimmi’s as Kevin Capstick, Coby Albone and Destiny Satkowski each scored once.
