Medina 15U wins Hilton tourney opener

Medina Mustangs 15U baseball team started off the Battle of the Bats tournament in Hilton with a win over the 15U Penfield Patriots 13- 2 on Thursday evening.
Medina scored 13 runs over 5 innings to end the game per the tournament mercy rule.
Cole Moyle led batting with 2 hits, 4 RBI’s, and a run scored. Lucas Kimber homered, had 1 RBI and scored 3 runs and Briley Allen 2 hits, an RBI and a run scored.
Brady Christiaansen had a single, double, 3 runs scored and 2 RBI’s;, Ryan Pegelow a double and RBI; Colton Smith 2 hits, 1 RBI, and 2 runs scored; Kolton Fletcher 1 RBI, and Jimmy Dieter scored a run.
Lukas Grimes pitched 4 strong innings striking out 7 allowing 2 runs. Dieter closed game out with allowing no runs and had 1 stikeout.
Medina continues tournament play on Saturday with two back to back games starting at 9:30 a.m. in Hilton..
