Medina 12U Fillies win opener
The Medina 12U Fillies opened the season over the weekend with a 25-7 victory over the Twin City Elite.
Medina jumped out to a 12-0 first inning lead and never looked back.
Brooklyn Brown had 4 hits and Lexi Hare 3 for the Fillies. Grace Cook, Faith Ann Vanderwalker and Micaela Irway each had 2 hits as Chloe Stinson, Tessa Boyce, Carina Kingsbury, Camri King and Lacey Kenward each chipped in with 1. Brown and Cook both had doubles.
In the circle, Kenward struck out the first 6 batters she faced.
The Fillies next travel to Mel Ott on Wednesday.
