Medina 10U Fillies gain playoff finals
The Medina 10U Fillies recently defeated Eden 14-0 to advance to the Buffalo Metro Division “C” championship game which will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Butts Park.
Medina scored a quick run in the first inning against Eden on an RBI single by Faith Oberther.
Medina then broke the contest open by scoring 5 times in the second inning on a series of walks and singles by Brianna Smith, Iyanna King and Oberther.
Medina later closed out the win by scoring 7 runs in the fourth inning highlighted by an RBI single by Emilee Oberther and a double by King.
King had a total of 3 hits and Oberther 2.
Defensively, Ryan Olles turned a double play at shortstop. King at catcher and Olles also picked off a runner at third.
In the circle, Oberther registered 12 strikeouts.
