Maritime Falcons post win over Silverbacks

Converting two early turnovers into touchdowns, Maritime went on to defeat Roy-Hart/Barker/Lyndonville 50-8 in a B North Division game this evening before a large Homecoming crowd at Middleport.
Maritime first returned a fumble recovery 60 yards for a touchdown and then capitalized on another fumble recovery deep in Silverbacks territory to score another TD and grab a 14-0 first quarter lead.
The Falcons, which tacked on three more touchdowns in the second quarter to hike the lead to 34-0 at the half, held a 42-0 lead after three quarters.
The Silverbacks broke onto the scoreboard in the final quarter as quarterback Trenton Muck ran one yard for the touchdown and then completed a two-point conversion pass to Luey Castro.
A 20 yard pass completion from Muck to Castro and a 25 yard run by Jordan Terwilliger down to the Falcons 5 yard line highlighted the scoring drive.
The Falcons are now 2-0 in the division and the Silverbacks 0-3.
