An early two goal scoring burst ignited undefeated (18-0) top seeded Marion to a 6-1 victory over No. 4 Holley in the Section V Class C2 girls soccer semifinals this evening at Webster Thomas High School.

Scarlett Keppen scored twice just four and 11 minutes into the game to give Marion the quick lead.

Holley did cut the deficit to 2-1 when Sarah Harrington scored with 20:55 to go in the half but the Lady Hawks could not find the net again.

Marion answered with a burst of three goals in the final 10 minutes of the half, two by Chloe DeLyser, to open up a commanding 5-1 lead at the break. DeLyser also had the Black Knights lone second half tally to increase her state single season goal scoring record total to 78.

Holley finishes the season at 10-6-3.
