ALBION – A man suffered multiple stab wounds to the neck and chest as well as a head injury at a party in Albion late last night, Police Chief Roland Nenni said today.

The man, age 34, has serious but non life-threatening injuries. He was transported by Central Orleans Volunteer Ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.

Nenni said the adult birthday party attracted known and unknown people from both Albion and outside of the area. A dispute developed between the victim and others at the party that led up to the assault, he said.

Albion Police received assistance from the Medina Police Department, Orleans County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police in responding to the scene where 50 and 75 people had gathered.

“The investigation is hampered by witnesses not willing to give information or accounts of the assault,” the police chief said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Albion Police Department at 585-589-5627.
