Man killed in car accident Monday night in Hartland
HARTLAND – A man was killed in a head-on collision Monday night in Hartland, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office is reporting today.
Thomas F. Wagner, 58, of Hartland was killed in the accident, which occurred at 7:34 p.m. at 8449 Seaman Rd. The Town of Somerset Police along with the Village of Middleport Police were the primary responding agencies. The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Unit was requested to assist with the investigation.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2013 Chevrolet Cruz was traveling eastbound when a collision occurred with a 2007 Nissan Sentra, traveling westbound. Wagner was the driver of 2007 Nissan. He was transported to Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lockport where he was pronounced dead following the accident, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office reported..
The driver of the 2013 Chevrolet was transported to Erie County Medical Center for an arm fracture and related injuries. There were no other passengers in either of the vehicles involved.
The investigation is continuing at this time, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office said.
