ALBION – A 69-year-old Albion man has been arrested for selling crack cocaine in the Village of Albion, the Orleans County Major Felony Crime Task Force reported.

Hosie Scott Jr.

Hosie Scott Jr. of Garden Park Apartments was charged on Tuesday with 2 counts each of criminal sale and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, which are Class B felonies.

Scott was arraigned in County Court by Judge Sanford Church and released own his own recognizance because the state’s new bail reform doesn’t allow bail to be set for those charges.

Scott is to return to the County Court on Feb. 27.

The Orleans County Sheriff’s Department assisted the Task Force and Albion Police Department in the case. The Task Force said the investigation is ongoing and additional charges and arrests are pending.
