Man, 68, killed after driving into tree along Ridge Road in Hartland
HARTLAND – The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office is reporting a 68-year-old man died this morning when he struck a tree with his vehicle on Ridge Road in Hartland.
The accident happened at about 8 a.m. today. The Sheriff’s Office isn’t releasing the man’s name at this time pending notification of his family.
The driver was the lone occupant in the vehicle. The driver was unresponsive at the scene and had to be extricated from the vehicle.
Niagara County deputies along with EMS crews from Mercy Ambulance and Mercy Flight Helicopter rendered aid but the male succumbed to the injuries on scene, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office said.
The Niagara County Accident Investigation Unit will be investigating the accident.
