M-L United U17 booters down Wilson

Medina-Lyndonville United beat Wilson 9-1 Wednesday to improve to 2-0 in the U17 Division of the Buffalo and WNY Soccer League.

Dan Mandujano scored the first of his first of four goals just two minutes  into the game off an assist from Casey Winiecki.

Devin Rounds scored just moments later off a corner kick from Evan Harris.

Mandujano scored his second goal midway through the first half with an assist from Jon Slingerland and Nate Dillenbeck finished the half off with a penalty kick tally.

In the second half, Wilson scored just a minute in from a goal from Joe Moote.

However, M-L United came storming back with Mandujano scoring twice, Dillenbeck adding another and Sam Kingsbury and Jon Slingerland each chipping in with one.

In another rain soaked soccer contest, the Medina-Lyndonville United U12 squad lost a 4-2 decision to the Wilson Storm.

Cole Callard scored both M-L goals.

Landan Costich played a strong game keeping the pressure on the Wilson defense.

Goalkeepers Brady Christiannsen and Camden Fike made numerous saves to keep Medina in the game.
