M-L United U15 earns fifth straight win; Thunder locks up division championship

Closing out the season on a five game winning streak, Medina-Lyndonville United nipped Wilson 1-0 Friday evening in a Buffalo and Western New York Junior Soccer League U15C Division game at Gasport.

Bryson Costich scored the game’s only goal midway through the first half off an assist from Mason Moreland as M-L United finishes the season at 7-3.

Jackson Moreland earned the shutout in goal as Jack Whipple, Kevin Travis, Gavyn Snook, Aidan Owczarczak, Costich and Mason Moreland all helped to anchor the defense.

Thunder claims U15C championship
The Lockport Thunder, which is comprised mainly of Roy-Hart players, locked up the U15B Division championship with a 5-0 victory over South Buffalo on Thursday evening.

Five players took turns scoring the goals including Trent Choate, Elijah Girioux, Landen Guild, Luke Gunby and Christian Lates as the Thunder finish at 8-1-1.
