Lyndonville tops Kendall in G-R volleyball

Lyndonville scored a straight set 25-22, 25-10, 26-24 win over visiting Kendall in a Genesee Region League volleyball match this evening.

The decisive third set saw Gracie Johnson serve up points 24 and 25 for Lyndonville and Haley Shaffer followed up with a service ace for the set and match winner as the Lady Tigers improve to 2-0 in G-R action.

Lydonville also got off to a fast start in the opening set as Addy Dillenbeck served the Lady Tigers out to a 7-0 lead.

Kendall though came battling back to take a 14-10 lead as Sara Mattle served up points 4-8 and Taigan Guerrero 10-14.

The set was tight the rest of the way as Lorelei Dillenbeck served up the final two points for a 25-22 win.

The Lady Tigers rolled in the second set as Addy Dillenbeck served up points 1-4, Brianna Smith 6-10,  and Lorelei Dillenbeck 14-16.  Addy Dillenbeck’s third kill of the set polished off point 24 and Johnson served up the decisive 25th point.

On the evening, Johnson had 3 kills and 3 digs; Lorelei Dillenbeck 3 aces, 7 assists, 5 kills and 6 digs; Addy Dillenbeck 5 aces, 8 assists, 6 kills and 5 digs; Karlee Rounds 7 kills and 2 blocks and Haley Shaffer 8 digs.

For Kendall, Madison Shonitsky had 6 kills, 5 digs and 4 assists and Madison Delaquila 3 kills, 3 aces and 3 digs.

Elba 20-25-25-25, Albion 25-4-13-22

Laci Sewar had 9 aces, Carolyn Sybertz 5 aces and Mariah Ognibene 7 kills for Elba in the four set non league win over Albion.
