Tigers top Houghton in sectional opener

No. 2 seeded Lyndonville downed No. 7 Houghton 3-1 in a Section V Class D2 boys soccer tournament quarterfinal round game this evening at Albion.
Amir Zimmerman scored for Lyndonville in the first half off an assist from Colton Smith.
The Tigers then locked up the win on second half goals by Maddox Smith off an assist from Barrett Alexander and by Austin Fonda from Colton Smith.
Lyndonville next faces No. 3 Andover-Whitesville in the semifinals on Tuesday.
